Have you ever lost something and you have had to search high and low for it? How frustrating it is to not be able to remember where you left it but I’m wondering if these lost items can move of their own accord! Keys, a piece of jewellery, a wallet or a credit card can all be so hard to find. But we keep looking and just when we are about to give up and call the bank to close the account, we have a moment of inspiration and yes, there it is, we find it! The lost is found! What a relief! Last Sunday we enjoyed a play read and acted out by the Hedrick family. The lost sheep was found and carried back by the Shepherd. What joy there was in seeing that event acted out before us knowing the symbolism behind it. And this week…

“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbours, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Luke 15:8-10, ESV.

So imagine for a moment the incredible amount of joy in heaven as billions of people have responded to God and have turned their lives to Jesus. You are loved and sought after by God! How wonderful is this Gospel message! It is full of Hope, Joy and Love.
