I found some coins on the post office floor and so I gave it to the people behind the counter. They were surprised at my honesty. It was only $4. But then while I was writing in some cards for my twin brothers’ birthdays I must have dropped my wallet and it was picked up by an honest person who asked me if it was mine! I was relieved with this good news. I didn’t really deserve such kindness regardless of any good I had done. So when we receive good news we want to share that news with others. This is what the disciples were told to do. To share the good news of Jesus with others. To be a witness for Him to others through-out the world knowing that God will equip us to do so. Acts 1:8-11, ESV.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
