Today we welcome John Ewers from the Bible League. John is a great guy who loves the Lord Jesus and holds God’s Word as an extremely important book for everyone.
The purpose of the Bible League is described on their website as, “Serving the under-resourced Church globally through the provision of Bibles, biblical resources and training to transform lives worldwide through God’s Word and help people meet Jesus.”
Key verses that help us consider the importance of this ministry are found in Romans 8. They are vital for all of us. We all need to hear the Good News of Jesus. “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2, ESV.
But there are many people in our world who don’t have a printed Bible and most of them have never had the Gospel explained to them. It is important to get behind organizations like the Bible League and surround them in prayer and give support to them. They are concerned for many underprivileged people all over the world including our own Indigenous people in Australia. Their work in prisons is also very noteworthy.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living, so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17, GNB.
