God can use us wherever we are and whatever we are doing. There is a wonderful story about Philip meeting the Ethiopian eunuch and encouraging him. God called Philip away to a place where perhaps he thought may have been a waste of time.
An angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Get ready and go south to the road that goes from Jerusalem to Gaza.” (This road is not used nowadays.) So Philip got ready and went. Now an Ethiopian eunuch, who was an important official in charge of the treasury of the queen of Ethiopia, was on his way home. He had been to Jerusalem to worship God and was going back home in his carriage. As he rode along, he was reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah. The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Go over to that carriage and stay close to it.” Philip ran over and heard him reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah. He asked him, “Do you understand what you are reading?” The official replied, “How can I understand unless someone explains it to me?” And he invited Philip to climb up and sit in the carriage with him. Acts 8:26-31, GNB.
Philip was a wonderful help to the Ethiopian eunuch who was a passenger in a carriage. Philip was listening to God and was able to offer spiritual help. Someone had the job of driving this carriage. Some of the “rickshaws” that are travelling around India are
possibly being very useful in their tasks and their operators may have opportunity to explain the fact that they have this rickshaw as a means to make a living and that this came from God. Well done for making those donations way back in 2006 to help people to have a task to do and to have an income. I often think about the opportunities that Taxi drivers have to share with people. Can we be alert and ready to help people who are in need in whatever task we have. May God bless you in this.
