I am writing this in Windorah, Queensland and as I lay in my tent I am reflecting about all that I will be doing in the next few days. It has been a wonderful CMA event in Brisbane and despite the rainy weather it was a great time of fellowship. However, I am thinking now about the 1,000 Ks of rough dirt road to get home. Will the road be open, can I stay upright on the rough road and will my bike run well? But I should be thankful for God’s blessing and simply trust Him for the future. There are some wonderful verses by Paul in Philippians 4 that help all of us as we reflect on the journey ahead.
“4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God,which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” NIV.
