I was asked to see the house master at school. I was terrified thinking, “I am in trouble,” but he had a message to tell me that was good news and I went away relieved. Have you ever felt anxious about something but later you realize that God had everything under control? It is a great relief to know that all is well. If you are anxious about anything, bring it to the Lord in prayer.
Jacob had tricked his father Isaac into giving him a blessing that was due to his older brother Esau. Now many years later, Esau was coming to see Jacob and he was concerned that Esau would harm him and his family because of what had happened.
“Now Jacob looked up and saw Esau coming toward him with 400 men. So he divided the children among Leah, Rachel, and the two female slaves. He put the female slaves and their children first, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph last. He himself went on ahead and bowed to the ground seven times until he approached his brother. But Esau ran to meet him, hugged him, threw his arms around him, and kissed him. Then they wept.” Genesis 33:1-4, HCSB.
