Unity is always important but when there is “disunity” and we see the harm it causes, we then realise that “Unity” is vital.
“How wonderful it is, how pleasant, for God’s people to live together in harmony!” Psalm 133:1, GNB.
God will help us as we rely on Him to assist us to live in unity. Please honour God by being of one mind with other believers. United we stand but divided we fall.
“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19-22, ESV.
Our unity is a wonderful witness to the community that we live in. Any disunity has the opposite result.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35.
Remember that Jesus is our example regarding the subject of unity because He loved us even before we followed Him.
