Today we welcome Graham Ross who is the CEO of Teen Challenge in South Australia. The theme for today is “getting back up after a setback”.
The work and ministry of Teen Challenge try hard to help people who have difficulties in their life to find a method in which they can recover and achieve a positive lifestyle. Teen Challenge begin this process by teaching them about Jesus with lots of prayer, discussion, patience and understanding.
We all fall down at times. Getting back up after a setback is hard in our own strength. The first thing we need to do is recognize our sin and our need to repent. The following verses are helpful.
“If we say that we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and
refusing to accept the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he
can be depended on to forgive us and to cleanse us from every
wrong. And it is perfectly proper for God to do this for us because
Christ died to wash away our sins.” 1 John 1:8-9, TLB.
Praise God for the work of Teen Challenge as they offer this program to help men to become free of addictions and bad thinking. Pray for Teen Challenge as they continue to run their program at their premises at Strathalbyn and as they seek to provide a similar program for women. Go online and google Teen Challenge SA to read the testimony’s of many people whose lives have been changed. Pray for the people you know who are facing difficulties in their life today.
