Hi everyone. It is Wednesday night and I am in Broken Hill with Phil and Don. The rest of the crew are still up in Queensland and are coming home soon. We’ve had a marvellous national run and have met many people. On our travels home we encountered a man near Toowoomba called Danny who was down on his luck and was waiting for his son Riley to arrive on the school bus and he met us at the service station. He was interested in Phil’s motorcycle and we talked for ages. Phil generously gave him some money and a Bible. He was in tears and that was the day of his son’s ninth birthday and it was very special as we shared that time together. Please pray for Danny. It does remind us that this Bible verse from 2 Corinthians is very appropriate and as difficult as life is, we simply need to trust that God has everything under his control.

“Whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack” 2 Corinthians 8:15.

The CMA national run was held in Hervey Bay in Queensland and was attended by 120 people. We had a very special time and met up with many familiar faces and we met many new people as well. The main speaker was a young man called John and his wife Holly also spoke. They had travelled out from America to be with us. They are both employed by the CMA in USA. John spoke very inspiringly from Genesis 3, on Elijah and on David. Even though he lives in a very powerful country, he said that he does not put his trust in the USA, neither in the past, the present or in the future. He puts his trust in a mighty God who has everything under his control. He is very thankful to belong to the kingdom of God. He is not relying in his own government, no matter which government it is, his overriding trust is in the power that comes from God himself. John mentioned that no matter how weak we are or how bad things seem to be, there is always hope, and there is always something to be thankful about. John is in his early 40s and has some medical concerns  yet he puts his trust totally in Jesus. Please pray for John & Holly Ogden.

Don, Phil and I left early on Monday and have done over 1,800ks in the 3 days to get us this far. We have only 500ks to travel on Thursday to get back into Adelaide. Thank you for praying for us on our trip.
