“Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9, ESV.
As we begin the New Year it is good to be reminded that God is always with us. What a difference that makes for us. This verse encouraged Joshua as he set out to lead the nation of Israel. It would be good if all the world leaders read the Book of Joshua. There is great assurance in this Book.
“No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.” Joshua 1:5-6.
We can approach 2021 with courage knowing that God is the same today as He was in 1971, 1991 and 2011.
“Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:7-8.
Keep going, don’t give up, remember the quote, “Don’t get discouraged; it is often the last key in the bunch that opens the lock.”
